The last couple of weeks have been really busy for me and I am doing my best to keep up with the wedding image editing.  I do have the images from the friday and saturday weddings online at http://www.paulretherford.instaproofs.com

This past weekend I captured a wedding at Yarrows in Augusta, Michigan and then I left on vacation on Sunday for one week.  This is my only summer vacation this year.  I will be working hard to get the three wedding albums online this next week.  Keep checking back for the albums.

Due to a last minute cancellation, I was free of work for the weekend, sort of.  Saturday I caught up on a lot of my albums that have been building up the past couple weeks.  I put in a good 8+ hours of work on Saturday and Sunday trying to catch up.  Right now I am back to normal with only a couple albums to put together right now. 

I fished Friday morning and Sunday morning out of Grand Haven, Michigan on the Chinook Pier.  Fishing was slower than normal but we still caught 8 fish Friday and 5 Sunday.  It was a couple of very nice days for fishing. 

This coming weekend I have two weddings, one friday and one saturday.  Sunday I am fishing and Monday I am fishing.  I also have fishing trips Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday this week.

My new desktop computer will be here this weekend.  My buddy from Chicago who built it is bringing it over and setting it up.  He is awesome for doing this for me.  It is going to be a screamer and really cut down on my time on the computer.

A client just purchased the largest canvas that I have sold thus far, a 36×24.  It looked awesome and she was very happy with the results.  I have a number of different canvas options and I do custom framing as well.  I worked in a custom frame shop for a few years so I know how to do all of the framing.  It was kind of funny because I called in an order, and I was obviously talking to a new girl because she kept putting me on hold, and finally they were trying to tell me that my measurements were wrong.  I politely said that I did not think that they were and walked them through my rationale.  They transferred me to the person in charge of cutting the frames and I was dead on.  Kind of scary that the person taking the orders did not know what she was doing…

Alpena Wedding Photography

Katie and Todd were married on Saturday August 4th in Alpena, Michigan at Katie’s parents house.  The whole day was beautiful and you can see the images at Alpena Wedding.  The flowers were from Flowerland in Alpena.  They did a wonderful job!


South Haven Engagement Photography Session

Sunday took me to a Lake Michigan Beach Front house for an engagement session with a Texas couple.  It was great light for this session and I was excited to work with them.  The environment was great and very advantageous for photography.  Sherry, Susan, and Tyler extremely nice and we made awesome engagement images!  See Susan and Tyler at Boulevard Lake Michigan Engagement Photography Session.
