Winter Wedding in Kalamazoo, Michigan at the Stetson Chapel

What a beautiful winter weekend for a wedding!  On Saturday I was at the Kalamazoo College Stetson Chapel for the Wedding of Dawn and Travis.  Everything just went so perfect during the day.  It was cold but it is Michigan.  Dawn and Travis have great families and friends and they were very easy to work with and the images show.

You can see their wedding album online at, Dawn and Travis Kalamazoo Wedding.

A partial listing of images can be seen online here.

The snow keeps on falling in Michigan.  We probably have about 2 feetish on the ground even after some of the major snow melts that have happened lately.  I am really ready for spring!

This weekend I have a wedding.  Should be some nice snow to get those winter wedding awesome shots!  I am excited for the couple.

My family spent last weekend at the cabin in canada.  I will try to get some images up soon.  It was very relaxing.  I just chilled, ate, and drank.

Things are happening at the Retherford household.  I will talk about it when I am at liberty to talk about it.  It is exciting information that is going to advance both of our careers.

Hope everyone is enjoying their life!

See ya.

The Weekend started out with snowblowing from our 6 or so inches of snow that fell Thursday night and Friday day.  Megan, my wife, got stuck twice on her way to work.  It was a mess.

Friday night was the Kid Rock concert with my brother, his girlfriend, Megan, a friend, and me.  I am not a huge Kid Rock fan but I like concerts and having a good time with friends.  The concert was really great!  Instead of having people open for him, Kid had them sing their songs with him and his band on stage throughout the night.  Rev, from Run DMC was their and my favorite song of the night was Tricky.  I used to listen to Run DMC a lot back in the day.  The concert went from like 9ish until 11:30.   After the concert we attended another concert in GR who are friends of Megans.  We didn’t get home until 2am.

Saturday was a Wedding day for me.  I didn’t have to start until 2pm so that is why I was able to be out late.  Slept part of the morning away and then prepped all of my gear for the Wedding ahead.  The wedding was located in Kalamazoo with a reception at The Fountains.  The night went perfect and we made great images together in our time together.  It was most about family and documenting all the friends that were there too.  People came a long way for this event and they wanted images of them all.  The couple did not have any dancing and their reception had no alcohol either.  Usually things kind of wind down early when this happens and this reception was no different.  The couple left in their limo at 9pm.  You can see their images online here.

What a Super Bowl!  I played football all through my life, including college and I have a hard time sitting down for a full game.  The super bowl is cool but usually kind of boring in my mind.  This Super Bowl had me on the edge of the seat all night.  I’m not going to lie, I thought that it would be cool if the Patriots won all their games but I really wanted the Giants to win.  The Patriots have enough rings, spread the love a bit.  I didn’t think the commercials were all that great this year.  If it wasn’t for the great game I would have done something else.  Congratulations to the New York Giants!
