Who is Bella and Bella Pictures, the national company..
Here is a quick blog to let everyone know about the Bella and Bella Pictures that you see advertising in tons of publications and online. This company is a national company that hires photographers all over the country and pays them pennies so that they can claim a huge wage for their services. Bella Pictures takes the images from the photographers and completes the package for the couple. The photographer gets his/her pennies and Bella makes the rest. Bella has contacted me to be one of their photographers, sorry… What you get is, who knows, since you are appointed a photographer that will capture your day, and for the price you pay, isn’t it better to find your own truly Professional Photographer! Just know that Bella is like the Walmart of Wedding Photography and should be approached with caution. I am sure that they do have some fine photographers BUT not the caliber of most Professionals with whom I associate. If you are looking for a photographer in your area find someone who is tried and true and can show you their work and talk to you on a personal basis from the beginning of your contract to the end.
I tried calling their line once for giggles and I never did speak to an individual.
I was appalled when I heard that a large resort has listed Bella Pictures as their preferred vendor? It says “Bella Pictures our preferred wedding photographer.” What? They are not one photographer, probably thousands and why would you even consider???
I do not see them as competition because they are not Paul Retherford, BUT, I think that brides and grooms should be informed as to what they are doing.
That was my heads up advice for the day!
