Mary & Jared are married!  This beautiful, outdoor, destination Wedding on Mackinac Island in Northern Michigan at The Inn at Stonecliffe was a long time in planning and the day ran perfectly.  They decided on the Grotto at the Inn at Stonecliffe for their Wedding Ceremony and the big tent on the lawn for their Wedding Reception with the cocktail hour on the Lakeview Portico.  The staff at the Inn at Stonecliffe did a wonderful job hosting the event and the bride and groom were very pleased with the service.

Mary and Jared decided on the Summer house for getting ready since it had air conditioning and the salon at the Inn at Stonecliffe was in the same building.  Mary started early with her girls getting hair and makeup completed by the Salon at The Inn at Stonecliffe.  Allison did a wonderful job making sure to spend time with each of the ladies.  The day was very hot so makeup turned out to be a bit of a challenge at times but Allison and the crew at The Salon at The Inn at Stonecliffe did a wonderful job.

Wedding images followed on the lawn with the family while guests were directed to the Lakeview Portico for cocktail hour. Following the family images Mary, Jared, and I made our way out to Sunset Rock to capture some images before being introduced into the Wedding Reception.

The Wedding Reception at the Inn at Stonecliffe on Mackinac Island was held under the big tent on the lawn overlooking the Mackinac Bridge.

First of all, if you are reading this you probably are part of the Military or, at least, know of someone who is in the Military so Thank You.   Your service allows me to do what I enjoy and I truly appreciate it.

I have been asked by brides and grooms if wearing Military uniforms to Weddings is appropriate.   I believe that it is not only appropriate but it honors the individual and lets people acknowledge our freedoms that we take for granted so often. Whether you are the bride or groom, in the Wedding party, or just a guest of the Wedding, I believe that you should wear your Military uniform.  I have had lots of people who wear their uniform and a lot who don’t too.  It is a matter of personal preference.  As a bride and groom, I would hope that you would allow this at your Wedding.

Ashley and Dan traveled all the way from St. Louis, MO to find their dream destination Wedding location on Mackinac Island, Michigan at the Inn at Stonecliffe. It was an intimate Wedding with 25 family and friends on the lawn at The Inn at Stoncliffe.  The Wedding reception took place on the patio overlooking the Straits of Mackinaw and the Mackinac Bridge.

Ashley wore an Allure Wedding gown and her Mackinac Island Wedding flowers were completed by St. Ignace Greenhouse in St. Ignace, Michigan. Wedding hair on Mackinac Island by 7th heaven salon.

The Wedding was officiated by Reverand Edwin Remaly.

Friday I was blessed again to spend the afternoon on Mackinac Island, Michigan for a Wedding at The Inn at Stonecliffe.  Amy and Charlie are two cool cats!  We had a great time together.   Amy is an absolute beauty, and Charlie is a handsome lad as well.

When I arrived to the Wedding the clouds were thick and the overcast and it looked like rain.  But, oh no, my friend, the clouds cleared and Amy and Charlie’s beautiful smile beamed during the day.

The couple is from Chicago, Illinois and planned this beautiful destination wedding on Mackinac Island, Michigan.  Amy had an idea in her head what she wanted on her Wedding day and her matron of honor, Tara, from Invitations by Design, helped her dream come true.   Tara’s designs and over-the-top details added that special touch to Amy and Charlie’s Wedding day.  You can see a bunch of the products that Tara produced in the slideshows below.  Anything on paper Tara did and will do for you too.  Call her and let her design your invitations, programs, signs, speech cards, seating chart, menus, thank yous, or anything you can imagine.

The Wedding theme for the day was Mackinac Island and bicycles.  They had bicycles on their Wedding cake and lots of bicycles on the signs and details.  The Wedding cake was designed by Bella e Dolce and was stunning.

The Inn at Stonecliffe Grotto

Fawn and Jamin are MARRIED!  This was the third Wedding that they had planned, the first two were cancelled due to new additions to the family, and it went off without a hitch.

The Wedding took place at the Grotto at The Inn at Stonecliffe on Mackinac Island, Michigan.  This is beautiful spot in nature on Mackinac Island to say your Wedding vows.

The bride wore a Wedding gown by Eve of Milady.  She had a cathedral veil and an assortment of shoes for comfort.  The brides hair was perfectly completed by Astor’s at The Grand Hotel.

The Wedding Reception was at Mission Point Resort Summit Room.  Everyone took a horse drawn carriage by Mackinac Island Carriage Tours from The Inn at Stonecliffe to Mission Point Resort.
